I had this for quite sometime now, it was only lately that I decided to finish this drawing. I love butterflies maybe that's why the central theme of this work is butterflies :doh:!

Anyways, I had a reference for the butterfly pattern on the woman's right sleeve from this [link] [she's a very good artist by the way!] I didn't paste it as it is but I just copied it with regular pencils...

I used my hands as reference for her hands, looking at it now I wish I have a more feminine hands, so that she have more lady like fingers/hands... oh well..

Used HB, 2B, Pilot Gtech pens .02 & .03 on regular print paper.

Wow, this is wonderful!!! I can't believe no ones commented! Your work always looks fabulous in black and white. Hey, you know what you were saying about doing some colour pics, could I colour one of yours? I won't be able to do it unti next week, but if I could maybe colour this one for you, that'd be really cool! :aww: If I can,could you give me some colour preferances and stuff that you'd like to see?

Wow!! Really? As in you'd colour this one? Sure!!!! :woot: As for colour preferences, I'm not sure what would fit her, as long as she has green eyes and dark brown hair the rest is up to your wonderful imagination!! :nod:

Yeah, I'd love to colour this! I need to start drawing properly again, just fo pleasure. So I think colouring this in would be a good thing for me to do. :plotting: green eyes and brown hair you say...I think purples and blues would accentuate it nicely ^^ With a white base for the kimono...hmm.....:excited:

I believe that all the little details makes or breaks a work of art. :nod: But oh how I hated doing patterns! It would have been much easier to just manilpulate it on photoshop but it looked quite bare without those details... :hmm:
