Artist Ramblings It's finally done!!! Ling Xiaoyu is my 3rd most favorite character in the Tekken series, after Jin and Asuka. I love the way she can kick Nina's a$$! (Sorry Nina fans, I have nothing against her!) Please view Xiaoyu detail for a closer look at her face and hands! Her pose here is inspired by a comics cover of Chun Li. I really loved that pose, so I decided to work with it. Well, It was really hard doing Xiaoyu's costume! Specially her bracelets, hair accessory and the design on her chest. What really frustrated me is that she doesn't look like Xiaoyu! lol!  Yeah, save for her outfit, I'd never consider her looking like the character! Well, I was too lazy at the time I was doing her pencil art that I didn't care anymore. If you have seen the WIP I submitted before, you'll notice the little changes I made while coloring her. I moved the WIP to the Scraps folder, for those who are wondering. Again the I didn't make the bg myself, I saw this on the net, credits goes to whoever made this! I just love swirly designs! lol! Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!! ------------------------ Stuff I used: *HB, B, 2B for the shading *Sharpie, Regular black ball-point pen *pencil eraser *tortillion, blending stick & tissues for blending *Regular letter-size bond paper Time spent: 2 days for the pencil art plus 1 week for coloring!!! *Ling Xiaoyu is from Tekken game series (c) NAMCO. *Art © ME! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
