Ultra-rushed work here!!! This is my entry for  's Final Fantasy Fanart Fantastica which will end tomorrow! The contest had a pretty interesting twist in it wherein you are only allowed to draw FF monsters and not the good guys! Anyways, I forgot about the deadline and just remembered it yesterday! I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't enter this contest, as an avid FF fan I just had to!!About the drawing I originally planned to make FFVIII's Omega Weapon for my entry, but as I scavenged the net for decent references I had to admit defeat. I couldn't find a single photo that shows a good, clear view of Omega Weapon's face!!! But then I saw a Varuna figure and his evil grin immediately caught my interest! Done purely in pencil, didn't use inks on this one cause I was pressed for time! I just tweaked with the contrast in PS that way it'll look like I inked it! uber lazy!!  Now as I was drawing him yesterday, my father happened to see this sketch...and he was horrified at my choice of model! My father is a devout Catholic and is a very traditional person. He thought I was fixated with sketching demons and devils... I couldn't quite refute the fact the I was drawing a monster! He wasn't quite convinced that Varuna was enemy character from a video game and that I was doing this for a contest. He gave me quite a lengthy sermon too about angels and saints, that I should take inspiration from them. I was like  the whole time. You should draw a bunny from FFXII
A must admit Varuna is one off the bets monsters from Final Fantasy,
but I like Ultima/Omega Weapon from FFX/X-2 and Tomberry the most.
As for the art it's just grat- the shadings are fantastic.

I don't remember a bunny character in FFXII save for Fran [bunny ears]!
For me I liked Omega Weapon in both FFVIII and FFX. I spent countless hours trying to get the Proof of Omega in FFVIII without the hero drinks and all...pure geeky moment!
